Ice cream time. Dairy FREE
If you’re looking for a delicious ice cream spot with a view, the Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour in Prestatyn might be just what you need. Located at the beach front, it offers a stunning view of the sea and a great selection of ice cream flavours, including some dairy-free options.
On a recent visit to the Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour on a Friday, we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had a few dairy-free ice cream options available. While the options were all coconut-based, they still managed to get the thumbs up from our friend Lou, who doesn’t usually like coconut.
Aside from the dairy-free options, there were a ton of other ice cream flavours to choose from. From classic vanilla and chocolate to more unique flavours like bubblegum and black cherry, there was something for everyone. The portions were also generous, so it was definitely worth the price.
The atmosphere at the Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour was also lovely. We enjoyed our ice cream sitting outside, taking in the view of the beach and sea. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the service was quick, which is always a plus.
Overall, we had a great experience at the Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour in Prestatyn. Whether you’re looking for a quick treat while exploring the beach front or you want to sit and enjoy a delicious ice cream with a view, this spot is definitely worth checking out. And if you’re dairy-free, don’t worry – they’ve got you covered!

Eva’s beach art
We had a quick beach stop on our bike ride on Friday. A few found shells and Eva made a sail for a boat.
Some times the best photos are not planned
I shot this photo with out really seeing it. I took it on my phone, with the sun blocking out the screen (as it does).
And do you know what? It turned out amazing 🙂Some times its just the right moment.
I don’t always get my phone out enough to take photo’s. . . .
Garden fold down table
This was a quick Sunday project to make a fold down table.
The only bits I had to buy was the hardware, and rope. The wood was all scrap. Its big enough for two to sit at and folds up nice and secure. There were no plans 🙂 but it was a simple enough build.
A little time away
I just wanted to share a few shots for a little trip away. It was great to be back on the north wales coast.
The birth of the covid-19 digital nomad
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the way we work and interact with our colleagues. The restrictions imposed during the pandemic have forced many companies to adopt remote working to ensure that their businesses continue to operate. This has led to a significant rise in the number of digital nomads, people who use telecommunications technologies to earn a living and conduct their lives in a nomadic manner.
Digital nomads often work remotely from foreign countries, coffee shops, public libraries, co-working spaces, or recreational vehicles. The COVID-19 pandemic has given a huge boost to this way of working, and it is likely to continue even after the pandemic is over.
Many companies have realized that remote working is not only possible but can also be more efficient and cost-effective than having a traditional office. With desk space in cities such as London costing thousands of pounds per year per person, it is easy to see why companies are keen to allow their employees to work from home or shared co-working spaces.
The rise of digital nomads has also led to the creation of flexible working spaces that people can pop into for meetings and work out of for a day or two. These spaces can be company-owned or shared 3rd party spaces. There are even countries that are offering visas specifically for digital nomads who want to work from anywhere in the world.
However, remote working is not for everyone. Not all jobs can be done remotely, and some people may prefer to work in an office environment. It is important for companies to support their employees and provide them with the choice of where they want to work.
In conclusion, the rise of digital nomads is a trend that is likely to continue, and the world of work is likely to become more flexible and remote. Companies are likely to continue to embrace remote working to save money, and people are likely to enjoy the freedom and flexibility that comes with being a digital nomad. However, it is important to remember that this way of working is not for everyone, and companies should continue to support their employees and provide them with the choice of where they want to work.
